About Tracy
Hello!
I am a photographer and painter living in Southern Maine. As I grow older, I find myself wandering with my camera and thinking “I want to paint this.” So, I am trying. We all experience the world as a series of personal, beautiful, brief moments. I use my photographs to remember, and paint to communicate what I see.
Background
I grew up in suburban Philadelphia and am grateful for a childhood that kept me on my bike, in the woods and on the beach—camping, hiking, and falling in love with the outdoors.
I picked up a camera at age 13, and fell in love again. I spent the rest of my adolescence into my 20s as a documentary photographer. I received a BA in Integrative Arts from Penn State University where I studied fine art, creative writing and anthropology.
After years filled with several career detours, starting a family, and making a big move, I’ve settled into a busy and beautiful life in Southern Maine with my husband, children and dogs. Our move to Maine felt like coming home—like I was always trying to get here. Most days you’ll find me with my family, in my garden, or in the woods with my dogs. And whenever time allows, I love to paint.
